ANTONIO MAZZAFERA – Co- Founder & CEO
Majored in Business Administration, Antonio has always been passionate about culture, history and art, and looked for developing and exploring such interests in his professional life.
Following his graduation, Antonio became Managing Director for the Gardênia Group, a passenger-transportation company that carries 4 million people every year. In that role, Antonio was responsible for 2,000 employees in 80 cities in the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo, Brazil.
After obtaining his MBA degree from Harvard Business School. Antonio became Marketing Director for VISA, being responsible for the airline, hotel, car rental and travel agency branches in Brazil.
The experience in the tourism sector led Antonio to the exclusive Maybourne Hotel Group (former The Savoy Group), in which he took the role of Global Director of Marketing, With headquarters in London, the Group owned Europe’s most luxurious and exclusive palace hotels such as Claridge´s, The Berkeley, The Connaught, and The Savoy, as well as the traditional Savoy Theatre in Covent Garden.
His work, accumen in international hospitality and cultural interests led him back to Brazil, where he founded Fera Investimentos. In this new stage, Antonio aims to build a lasting and lucrative business by investing in projects that benefit the community through the recovery and development of areas in which it operates.
The first venture of Fera Investimentos was the acquisition and refurbishment of the traditional and historic Palace Hotel in Salvador, which was the starting point for Fera Hotels. Fera Hotels´s mission is to create a chain of boutique hotels offering a high standard of service at affordable prices, with the casual and warm culture of Brazilian hospitality and always respecting the individuality of each property .
In the entrepreneurial milieu, Antonio stands for the rationale that profitable investments can be obtained through actions that also promote culture, art and history, and that both can go hand in hand.
